Both my boys were born early. Not premature early, but pre-term early. Both were ultimately healthy (only Henry had to spend time in the NICU). We are incredibly lucky.
No one knows why they didn't finish baking the full 40 weeks, but let's just say that having early babies is a little (!) terrifying.
